Two Old Crabs

My husband is the king of greeting cards.

He NEVER forgets any occasion. For me or for his Mother.

This week he worked way too many hours and simply didn't have enough time ... but this is how amazing he is as a person ... he dragged himself up on this Sunday morning at 5 am and ran to Walgreen's to make sure he got just the right birthday card for me. When I awoke there were beautiful red roses and 3 birthday cards. One romantic card, one silly card and one funny card from our hairy little beast. My day has been made special.

June: Family/Friends Adventure

Kayaking to Peanut Island. It was my first time ever, and I was alittle fearful of sharks, but thank God, no sightings. Had a blast. Would do it again ... 'cept my cousin now wants to do a midnight run and I'm thinkin' shark bait fer sure. Nooooo thank you.

I've Got a Pep in My Step

I've made the perfect morning drink that gives me energy and keeps me going throughout the day.
Green Smoothie (makes about 32ozs and I drink the whole thing)
2 cups of water
handful spinach
handful kale
handful collard greens
1 banana or 1 apple
1 date
1/2 cup of frozen blueberries
6 frozen strawberries
2 handfuls of ice
blend real good
bing. bing. bing! who needs caffeine!
